Isn't there the old version of Fraps on majorgeeks.com, which allows you to record for ever... and ever... and ever....
Only thing is it doesn't record sound, and about every 1 minute of recording is 1gb, so you need to change file type and stuff to make it smaller.

You have to compress the video after recording with fraps, Fraps records raw, uncompressed video which is all dependant on if you record sound or not, and what resolution you record it in, etc

If you dont want to pay the (cheap CHEAP) price for Fraps then i suggest a quick search on google for screen recorders, or game recorders etc, it should pop up a few.
